Welcome to my Personal Archive
I like to go on walks everyday and the best part about it was always the introspection and self talks I have on everything around me. They say the world is your canvas right. Not every thought I get might be appropriate to be shared on the internet, but most times I get thoughts on how everything around us has a story to convey and makes me wondering.
This page is “that” place where in I just dump all my random thoughts, quirks, banter on everything being design, art, psychology and what not. If you relate even on the tiniest bit feel free to DM or reach out to me in my socials or email.
Built using Poke by Interaction → Notion DB → Here. This page was not my original idea and was inspired by a fellow designer’s work - Living Log Book.

When I started my career and at started working on an extensive product feature revamp, I was experimenting and creating wild stuff. My then product manager used to say keep up this cursioty and drive cos when you get to know about all the technical stuff, frameworks etc. as you move on in your career this helps you to keep on experimenting on constraints and I have always kept that in my mind given anything I work on.

Listened to Dan Hollick say how he builds mini AI Tools to make all his illustrations and diagrams and that they are useful only for that very specific thing and are not usable to anything else. The cost of building a mini tool to relieve you from a manual task is so low and also preserves the IKEA effect of you doing it yourself, the joy of building stuff.
He gave an example of how back in the day AT&T Bell Labs used to oil a teletypewriter machine the engineers built an oil dropper which only dispenses 15 drops so there won't be any spillage. There is 0 usecases for that dropper anywhere else. That is how AI can be shaped into aiding us make stuff and support us. I feel like we mis-interpret and go all-in asking 'do it' instead it should be acting like a C3PO or an R2D2 to you.

Practice what you preach, that's something I greatly feel about everything and builds the most trust. Be it a career coach, financial advisor anyone for that matter, they don't have to be the best at it but they should've just put themselves into it, failed and that's enough trust building imo

You can outsource your thinking but not your understanding if you think about it goes hard on a lot of layers.

As a designer mymind is by far the best tool I could use. It helps a lot to go and take a look at all the inspirations I saved. I feel it's similar to how certain designers take their inspiration when burned out by going through beautifully designed books in their library and that ticks a idea.

Black on yellow gives the most contrast and is the reason why most warning signs follow that. Saw a Zoho testimonial banner in banglore metro and loved how much that contrast was making me digest the information better. BTW I’m not much of a fan of zoho design.

I really feel that software built by people to solve their own problems first has the biggest impact. You gotta be always the first user.
